Willa Murphy, MPA is a Senior Policy Consultant with the Integrated Care Team at Aurrera Health Group. Willa supports Medicaid, behavioral health and substance use disorder policy related projects, including providing policy and implementation support to DHCS’ California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM) initiative.
Prior to joining Aurrera Health Group, Willa worked for the State of Arizona’s Medicaid program as the Chief Legislative Liaison, where she served as a senior policy advisor and primary point of contact for the state legislature. In addition to working on the legislative team, Willa also was part of the state’s Targeted Investments team, an 1115 waiver program incentivizing behavioral and physical health integration. Willa’s experience includes strategic communication, engagement with stakeholders and policymakers, and experience with state and federal Medicaid initiatives supporting behavioral health integration.
Willa holds a master’s degree in public administration from Arizona State University. Willa lives in Phoenix, Arizona and in her free time enjoys reading and spending time with her friends, family and two rescue cats.
