Kate Johnson, MPH, has over 15 years of experience in health policy. Kate leads a variety of projects related to Medicaid policy and has expertise across eligibility and enrollment, behavioral health, aging and long-term services and supports (LTSS), and data exchange. She supports clients with project management, landscape assessments, stakeholder engagement, technical assistance and policy analysis, development, and implementation.
Prior to joining Aurrera Health Group, Kate worked at the National Governors Association Center for Best Practices where she led projects with states to provide technical assistance, support cross-state learning opportunities, and help them advance policy objectives. Kate also worked as an aide for a U.S. Senator and in public affairs providing strategic health policy analysis and development for a wide range of clients focused on pharmaceutical and insurance industry issues.
Kate holds a master’s degree in public health from the Boston University School of Public Health and a bachelor’s degree from Assumption University. She lives in Washington, D.C. and enjoys playing soccer, traveling, and trying new restaurants in her spare time.
