Aurrera Health supports the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) on implementation of the Behavioral Health Bridge Housing (BHBH) program, through a partnership with Advocates for Human Potential. The BHBH grant program will provide $1.5 billion in funding for county behavioral health agencies (BHAs) and tribal entities to operate bridge housing settings that address the housing needs of people experiencing homelessness who have serious behavioral health conditions, including serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders. The Aurrera Health team provides expertise on California’s behavioral health system and county BHAs and has supported multiple aspects of the project, including stakeholder engagement, policy research and analysis, and the creation of grantee resources.
